The application for Planning Permission for 5 Wind turbines at Knightcote Bottoms is now being considered by Stratford District Council. This Wind Farm is the first of many currently expected by the Local Planning Authority, in total some 42 turbines are anticipated within 10 Miles of Southam, but this first one, is right on our door step.

Warwickshire County Council are installing the signs for reducing the speed limit to 50mph along the length of the A426 between Southam and Kites Hardwick from its junction with the A423 Southam Road, in a north easterly direction to a point 575 metres south west of its junction with Valley Lane, Kites Hardwick, a distance of 7.4 kilometres (to meet the existing 50mph speed limit, where it commences at Kites Hardwick).There have been over 30 accidents resulting in 50 casualties along this route.

Choirs from Rugby, Coventry, Leamington and Northampton are joining together to create a100+ strong Male Voice Choir to sing at the impressive Temple Speech Room at Rugby School on the evening of 9th June 2012. The Choirs will be joined and supported by theHeart of England Co-operative Concert Orchestra.
